and that burning desire....

After a detailed talk on Human Rights cases at the Nalsar University of Law, a question was asked to Dr. Colin Gonsalves, Senior Advocate Supreme Court of India and Founder of Human Rights Law Network.
#Question: "If you and I ask students to do Human Rights Lawyering and seniors don't pay them well, how do they repay their education loans? How do you convince them that they can leave their corporate offers and work for Human Rights cases at low pays? How do you resolve such problems?"
And the answer really motivated stimulated a great hope inside me and made me put those words here.
#Answer: "It's not easy to resolve, I don't have any easy answer but there is an answer. I gave you my example because I came from a lower-middle-class family. We never had a car, we never had a television set and all.
I don't try to convince anyone to do Human Rights law because I believe that there is a self-evidence test and what is that test?
When you see INJUSTICE, do you feel a sense of anger in your gut? Do you really feel that 'ready to lose'?
How do they treat the women like this?
How did they treat the slum dweller like this?
How did they beat the child like this?
Do you feel that anger?
If you don't feel that anger, I can say that you can prefer corporate law and maybe you are not fit for Human Rights Law. No problem with that. You can't learn it from education. You can learn a bit from education.
But, there is a caveat to this...I never felt any anger. I was a good law-abiding Christian who went to church regularly, I listened to my mama and papa and to everything they said. I would have married a good Christian girl and I would have lived a normal Christian life with a job in a multinational company.
Yes, anger doesn't come, anger comes when you go out into the world. When you are young, you must go out into the world. Go to places, know the people there..........."
