you gave me the license to rape!

Today I was sentenced to death, because of my parents.
Soon I will be hanged to death, because of my teachers.
Yes, I am the one who raped Nirbhaya, but people who are scolding, castigating me now are the one who asked me to rape.

  • How can you raise your children with equality, when you wished for heinous deception of not having girl child before I was born?
  • After my birth, your discrimination on the name of culture when the different kind of clothes you choose for me and my sister. That's how it changes our minds, we see it as a sin when a girl wears pants and a shirt.
  • Did you ever send my sister out to play freely with her friends like you send me?
  • I do not understand, is there any universal contract between husband and wife on sharing some of their household responsibilities? Even if both parents are working, some household activities (like cooking, laundry, cleaning, etc) are taken over by mother but not the father. Why the father shows his back? Also, you make us work in the same way. You teach them to my sister but not me. Why don't you teach me such home stuff? Don't you know that we learn all this from you?
  • Have you not exhibited my sister like an object by celebrating her puberty in puberty ceremony? What do you mean by this ceremony? Are you asking men to get a license to rape by marrying her and have children? Your satanic behaviour on the name of religion and traditions, don't you think we learn it from you?
  • Indian marriage systems – Toughest interview to a girl. Again, objectifying her. There is no freedom. She was asked to look and dress beautiful, sing, dance so that bridegroom likes her. Can't you marry treating both equal? Don't you think we learn it from you?
  • The same way lessons for us in the school books. "Ramu sincerely completed his homework and went out to play with his friends. Father relaxing on the chair going through the newspaper. Sister helping her mother in the kitchen cutting vegetables". From the beginning, if books and teachers teach us such lessons, don't you think our minds slowly turn towards suppressing women by exhibiting male dominance on them? Don't you think they are also Humans like men? Don't you think they also need education, knowledge and recognition?
  • Do teachers know that their responsibility is to teach us some valuable lessons in the school? Why do most of them come, go asper textbooks and leave? Are we machines? Are we not going to be part of this society tomorrow? Don't you think, teach us some values and responsibilities? After all, you are the ones next to our parents.
  • No one gets surprised when men go through multiple marriages/divorces but people stare at women when they just talk close to other men. Why is it so?
  • Parents and teachers never taught what is right and wrong, never taught values. How can you now blame us?

Maybe that is why, When I've seen Nirbhaya alone during midnight...
I couldn’t think, that she is also a Human like me.

Dear Parents! Teachers! People!
Your uncivilised male dominant thoughts, your caste and superstitious beliefs on the name of stupid religious customs, rituals and cultures influenced me, urged me to rape Nirbhaya. And Now you all put me to a death sentence. Who are you to kill me? How can you kill me when it is not entirely my fault but yours too?

Is it not murder?
Is it not you who needs to change first, not me?
Is it not you who has to put into death sentence first, not me?

NOTE: In my opinion, if a person makes such crimes.... giving him death sentence doesn't mean crime rate gets reduced......for that directly or indirectly the parents, the teachers, the friends and all the people of that society too should be responsible, try to think and work on grassroots solutions for such crimes.

Killing is just your revenge, it doesn't solve our problems. Rapes can be reduced effectively when you try to change thoughts, educate everyone. Children should be taught in the right way. It’s a long way process but an effective one.
